Meet Mayha Patel, DO, FAAD Mayha Patel, DO, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who is passionate about offering cutting edge care to suit her patients' needs. She sees patients at Contour Dermatology And Cosmetics in Westlake Village, California. Dr. Patel is a graduate of the University of California at Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology. She received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award from the Davis Honors Program and was named an Undergraduate Research Scholar for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Dr. Patel completed her Doctor of Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She then completed a dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson and now serves as Associate Clinical Faculty. Dr. Patel participated in several medical mission trips in Peru, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. She has conducted research on acne, psoriasis, eczema, and basal cell carcinoma. Additionally, Dr. Patel has authored numerous articles and book chapters in the scientific literature and has presented several lectures and posters at scientific meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as the American Osteopathic Association. In her practice, Dr. Patel performs medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She is also highly trained in various surgical and cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, microneedling, Kybella, and several cosmetic lasers.
