About	Cassidy Interiors was started in the fall of 1987. Our first retail store opened in March of 1988 in Solana Beach, CA. In the summer of 2004 we began to take trips to far away places to find unusual pieces to bring a new flare to the store. On one of our trips in the high mountains of the Yucatan Peninsula , we happened upon a family of woodworkers that had been handcrafting mesquite furniture for generations. Mesquite is a beautifully grained, dense, hardwood, great for making furniture. After spending several days with the family, we formed a partnership to help them increase their production capabilities to meet our demands. We also introduced them to beautiful woods such as Parota and Rosa Morada. We now have several lines of furniture made from these woods to compliment our vast line of iron furniture and accessories.
