After graduating from QHHS in 1992 he attended U.C. San Diego where he earned his B.S. degree in Physiology and Neuroscience. He earned his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School in 2002, graduating first in his class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then went on to the University of Miami for his Orthopedic Residency which he completed in 2007. He returned to the west coast when he was accepted to U.C. San Diego's Fellowship Program in Hand Upper Extremity and Microsurgery. During his fellowship he contributed two chapter in the upcoming medical textbook Master's Techniques in Orthopedic Surgery - The Wrist, on Hamate Hook fractures and Radial Styloidectomy. Dr. Anand Shah's practice includes general orthopedic problems while specializing in hand and upper extremity trauma and reconstruction. Dr. Shah and his partner, Dr. Mehul Taylor, are located in the Valley Orthopedic Institute building at 647 West Avenue Q Palmdale, CA 93551. Both doctors have privileges at our two local hospitals: Antelope Valley Hospital and Palmdale regional medical center.
