Erin Mac Jewelry

About Surrounded by rare and amazing pieces, under hovering butterflies, smiling Erin admits that this is not your typical jewelry store. "I remember one beautiful day, sitting on the floor with my dog. A lovely woman walked in and sat beside me. The result was a new pendant for her from a dream she had of a wonderful gold sun design around her birthstone.Erin started working as a teenager - loving Antique as much as Contemporary design. Always desiring to be open to capture the dreams of who she was designing for! A transforming moment was the birth of her son. He has always been a magical child, she said. He grew up in the store, observing everything. When he was six, he took me to a 'business lunch' at a restaurant. He brought his crayons and told me to start designing jewelry. I told him that I loved designing for women, yet there wasnt one here. He said 'Choose you.' Well, that idea just took of in my imagination and these outrageous designs started coming to me, furiously I started drawing to capture them all.The first was a double level ring, an effigy monument of a Knights Templar, sword and all, on the bottom level. The top level was a representation of the famous Rose Window with four Gothic flying buttress as the supports between levels. Black diamonds, blue sapphires & red rubies became the stain glass of the window. Two sides arches had gargoyle faces and the whole ring was engraved to look like the stone wall of a great cathedral. The next ring in this Collection, is her Egyptian Pyramid Ring. "I think what would I wear with this outfit then a design for a piece just pops up. With the rich history of the world, the architecture that abounds, the ideas never stop. I think of them as Yes rings. Yes you can! Yes you deserve it! Yes, you can have it! I didnt realize there was a rule book. I just made it up as I went I love designing. While rings may be her passion, she also has a wide selection of necklaces & earrings that talk to people too. Many of the necklaces are Antique Watch Chains Ive turned into necklaces or Art Deco Belt Buckles I surround with gems. The one Im wearing today I designed in high school. It was the first large necklace I did. I put Old Watch Fobs, Lockets, Antique pure gold beads on Pearls, it is my favorite!!!Erin views her shop as a place to have fun. For me, its about sending a woman off feeling better than when she came in!
