Lourdes G. Bahamonde, DO, is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist providing comprehensive medical care at her office in Cudahy, California. Dr. Bahamonde has performed over 7,500 colorectal and gastric cancer screening endoscopies with polypectomies and mucosal resections, as well as advanced disease screenings for chronic liver disease. She specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including celiac disease, Barrett’s esophagus, fatty liver disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Bahamonde earned a bachelor's degree in psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master's in bio-physiology at California State University, Los Angeles, before earning her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Bahamonde pursued a fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She also completed a clinical fellowship in medical ethics.
